United for Earth’s Legal Future

Together, We Create

Overview of Ecological Law

The Consortium for Ecological Law is a group of pioneers in the environmental, oceans and energy fields dedicated to advancing policies and legal tools that restore and sustain the biosphere and raising awareness for effective actions to address climate and environmental disruptions.

The Consortium shall do so through research, preparing policy proposals, sharing knowledge about ecological law, cooperating with UN bodies, government and non-governmental entities, and engaging with other stakeholders for impactful actions.

The Consortium was established in 2023 to lead the transition from

Human-centered environmental, natural resources and energy laws towards the recognition and further development of Earth-centered laws and policies at the international, regional and local levels. Based in New York City. We facilitate inclusive and forward-looking processes and consultations to advance climate and ecological justice and the Sustainable Development Goals in harmony with Nature.

Founding Story

Founded to Redefine Law for the Earth

The Consortium was established in 2023 to lead the transition from human-centered environmental, natural resources and energy laws towards the recognition and further development of Earth-centered laws and policies at the international, regional and local levels.

Based in New York City, near the United Nations Headquarters, we facilitate inclusive and forward-looking processes and consultations to advance right-based approaches for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in harmony with Nature, the energy transition away from fossil fuels, and reaching not less than 30% of Earth’s land and the Ocean as protected areas by 2030.
